This International Women’s Day we’re sharing the story of one of the talented, courageous, passionate, and determined women in our business. Read about Shannon below!

Meet Shannon, HSSE Manager – Asset Services & QLD/PNG

“HSE is my second career, which was a natural move having worked offshore in oil & gas, and supporting mining construction projects in the APAC region. I took my first safety role in 2012 and since then have continued to build my HSE career job to job. I am lucky in my current role that no day is ever the same as I get to span HSE for the QLD & PNG regions, and also oversee HSE for our e2o Asset Services offering.

A career highlight for me is continuing to deliver projects in PNG. PNG has its own unique vibe and most recently developing and supporting the HSE program and leadership for Lombrum Infrastructure Project has been very rewarding. Working with the team on the ground, understanding their challenges, working on solutions together, and then being part of their safety successes is why I do what I do.

I enjoy the dynamic work environment and unique challenges of construction, and the operations and maintenance industry. At the forefront of what I find most enjoyable and rewarding is being able to engage and enable safe outcomes through the development of HSE strategic planning, field risk management and execution. Meaningful communication, agility and a positive engaged safety culture is critical for growing and sustaining our operations in the region.

I am pleased to see diversity at e2o and Clough is well supported by CEO, Peter Bennett, and the executive team. I am consistently provided opportunities to participate in company forums, and feel that as a woman in construction I am recognised and supported for the role that I perform here at e2o and Clough.”
